As part of the nuclear power plant infrastructure works in the Mersin Akkuyu region, one of Türkiye’s flagship projects, Imperial‘s need for an operational personnel camp was met with Alyans Prefabrik’s modular building engineering. Covering a total enclosed area of 1728 m², the project was designed with the structural and thermal strength to fully withstand the region’s challenging geographic and climatic site conditions, and it was delivered on a turnkey basis.

With the aim of making the most efficient use of the site area, the project involved the construction of two 3-story container dormitory buildings. Combining modular steel construction elements with a vertical architectural approach, these buildings offer maximum personnel accommodation capacity with a minimal footprint on construction sites. The structural safety of the three-story buildings was meticulously calculated by Alyans Prefabrik engineers, taking wind loads and seismic data into account.

In large-scale industrial mobilization projects, personnel health and business continuity depend directly on the insulation performance of the buildings. The highly insulated panel systems used in the Akkuyu project provide superior thermal insulation against the region’s variable climate conditions, such as high temperatures and humidity. In the dormitory complexes, built with materials fully compliant with fire regulations, independent HVAC infrastructure for each room and exterior evacuation systems were integrated in line with engineering standards.
